Jesus & Rage Against the Machine
(Making a Ruckus)
To say Rage Against the Machine were creative is a massive understatement; they were super creative! Thomas Baptiste Morello would play his guitar with a screwdriver and make it sound good or use his cable input from his amp and the electric surge to make a song! They thought on a different level as far as their experimental ability. They were (in my opinion) the best rap core band ever. Not only were they creative, but well educated and well spoken artists, considering two members attended Harvard University. But most of all they were known for their energy, anarchy and anti-government. Oh and there is the anger, can’t forget the anger. They were like a fire match for fuel soaked fans—they caused and encouraged rioting.
In fact, they caused such a ruckus that they were banned from playing in some states and even countries. The authorities feared Rage Against, because of the ruckus they were causing.
No human made more of a ruckus then Jesus. He changed the world as we know it, shook the ruling establishment and turned it on its head. Everyone from religious leaders to emperors was watching Jesus.
Jesus made it clear in Matthew 10:34-36 that following him would be a huge ruckus in our life, family and friendships. So much so that it is illegal to follow him in many countries, even today!
Matthew 10:34-36 NIRV
“Do not think that I came to bring peace to the earth. I didn’t come to bring peace. I came to bring a sword. 35 I have come to turn sons against their fathers.
Daughters will refuse to obey their mothers.
Daughters-in-law will be against their mothers-in-law.
A man’s enemies will be the members of his own family
